Sausage Skillet Recipes Easy Breakfast Ideas
So this recipe calls for the following ingredients:
- 2 cups roasted red potatoes (already cooked)
- 2½ cups favorite sausage (diced or sliced)
- 1 small onion (diced)
- ½ cup turkey bacon (chopped)
- 4 sliced garlic cloves (more if you like garlic)
- ¼ cup finely chopped parsley
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 4 pieces of sliced white cheddar cheese (add more if you like it cheesy)
- ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup butter
- 6 eggs
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil to cook eggs
- 2 teaspoons fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Directions:
1. Heat the olive oil and butter in a large oven safe saute pan. Heat on medium high heat.
2. Add the sausage, onion, and garlic. Saute until tender, but do not burn the onion or garlic.
3. Add the cooked bacon, parsley, and potatoes to the saute pan and mix. Cook for five minutes or until heated through.
4. Top off with the white and cheddar cheese.
5. Place saute pan in a 400 degree oven for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
6. Take a fresh saute pan and heat 2 tbsp of olive oil to cook the eggs. Cook to your liking. (Optional: add some chopped jalapeño to kick it up a notch)
7. Take the sausage mixture and pile it in the center of your plate. Add the eggs to the top and garnish with parsley.
