Chino Chinatown Trinity Groves Dallas Restaurants Reviews

Chino Chinatown Trinity Groves Dallas Restaurants Reviews…not your typical Chinese restaurant and, well, Thanks for not being one! A Spin on Chinese with a little Latin Love, this is a must try when in Dallas!

The Fast Review Food

Chino Chinatown is inspired by Chinese immigrants that came to South America from the southern province of Guangdong and Macau in the late 19th century. Due to lack of Asian ingredients, the Chinese adapted their cuisine with items available in the area, creating unique blends of Chinese cooking with Latin ingredients. They established “barrio Chinos” which translates to “Chinatown” in Latin American cities. Chino Chinatown transports our guests to this era of mystery and adventure.Chef/Owner Uno Immanivong gets her inspiration from “barrios Chinos” and has created a destination specializing in the collaboration of Asian and Latin cooking flavors, cooking styles and techniques.

The Fast Review Ambiance

Chino Chinatown Trinity Groves Dallas Restaurants Reviews

A hip and fun place to hang out inside, on the patio or the bar to have a cocktail and good FOOD!..

The Fast Review Service

Chef owned for sure! The waitstaff is on top of the menu and I mean the entire menu. Ask for the ingredients (they know them), Ask what is good (they tell you from a personal perspective). Great service all around.

They call this Shared Dining with choices of Appetizers and Large Plates. Yes they mean it when they say LARGE PLATES, so get ready to Eat! Hope you brought your appetite!

Let’s Get It On! I started with the Duck Eggrolls and glad I did! Big chunks of Duck and served with a Fresh Thai Agave Glaze. I could have eaten the Glaze by itself …YES THAT GOOD!

And I said it earlier, LARGE PLATES…It’s a salad, how big could it be! The Roasted Chicken Salad is a meal in itself, with cucumber, roasted corn, radish, orange segments, avocado and chimichurri dressing to top it off. Super light and Super good. (More fun knocking it down, but don’t tell the chef)!

Now for the Main Event… Duck Fat Fried Rice! The BEST FRIED RICE IN TEXAS! What an awesome combination of shrimp, Chinese sausage, BBQ pork, sunny-up egg and of course Duck. You can get it with out the duck breast, but trust me GET IT, so worth it.

The Duck Breast was cooked to perfection and I could have eaten that by itself…

Here is where the Chino Chinatown at Trinity Groves stood out…THE SERVICE! If you have read any of my reviews as a former restaurant owner, service is big for me and the Chino has that down! Not only very, very, very knowledgeable on the menu, but our server knew the ingredients and when explaining each dish, made it sound almost as good as it tasted! Even mixing the egg and fried rice together table side!
