The Electric Cheetah

My family is from the Michigan area and Grandma and Grandpa Reilly from the Grand Rapids area. Growing up and going back, I would never have imagined a gem in the middle of Grand Rapids.

A great place and a great story on getting the name Electric Cheetah! If you are looking for a fun place with REAL made from scratch food, look no further in Grand Rapids. A couple of friends took me here for the first time saying, “Chef Reilly you have to try this place!” So thank you Chris and Emilee for insisting on this place- a true winner.

Open for Lunch and Dinner (which you can’t go wrong with either), I am going to draw your attention to the Brunch!

“What? Not again, Chef Reilly, you said you don’t like breakfast!” Again I know I know, but this place ROCKS the brunch!

The Electric Cheetah

Potatoes, onions, and a fried egg.

Here ya go! #Hashtag is a must for this thin sliced prime rib hash with potatoes, red onion, fried egg, and onions…WOWEEE! It’s like being a kid in a candy store, only it’s a breakfast store!

The Electric Cheetah

The famous Donkey Kong Toast.

Another favorite the Donkey Kong Toast, sliced and battered fried banana bread with caramelized bananas, buttery maple/banana syrup, and whipped cream. I only got to try a bite or two as I didn’t order it, but I should have!

The Cider House Macaroni and Cheese is not only a must, but order it as a side even at breakfast and you will love it! Here is the description… “Our house seven-cheese-blend with cider braised bratwurst and caramelized onions, Mrs. Dogs mustard, cheddar and haystacks.” (Sorry, no pictures. The gang ate it too fast and I couldn’t get the camera out fast enough!)

The Electric Cheetah

The extensive root beer menu.

Don’t forget to have a Root Beer while you are there as they have one of the biggest selections I have seen! Super Fun!

The location and menu makes this restaurant fun for the whole family, not to mention they have a killer brunch menu! This place is a must stop if you’re in the Grand Rapids area, and don’t forget to tell them that Chef Reilly sent you!
