- 1/2 Tbsp Chili Powder

In a large sauce pan, add all of your ingredients and heat on low, stirring occasionally, for a about 20 minutes.

Here’s where you come in. This could take 15 to 40 minutes. If you like a more liquid sauce (mopping sauce), cook about 15 minutes to 20 minutes, to your desired consistency. If you want it thick enough to stick to the back of a metal spoon, cook about 30-40 minutes until desired thickness (stir frequently so you don’t burn the bottom).

Now we kick it up with Tullamore Dew. Add 1 Cup Tullamore Dew to a separate sauce pan. Simmer and reduce for 4 minutes, just to burn the alcohol out. Add to your BBQ sauce, simmer 5 minutes. Enjoy!
I always make my Sauce the night before, the more you let the BBQ sauce sit, the more the flavors combine and makes it that much better. But if you are smoking your meats ( make it that morning so you can have a few hours to let the flavors get to know each other.
Refrigerate any leftovers and heat up to use as a dipping sauce, in tacos or over vegetables over anything.
