Postino Central Winecafe – Pretty cool history on Postino’s. They take historic buildings and turn them into awesome neighborhood restaurants with amazing food, local ingredients and edgy culture. Oh and a great place for a first date or ANY DATE NIGHT!
Postino Central Winecafe is urban-cool in one of the oldest neighborhoods in Phoenix. Located on a historically-rich stretch of Central Avenue, Postino Central blends vintage roots with modern sensibilities in a building that long served as the North Central Phoenix institution Katz’s Deli.

If you’re going for some appetizers, make sure you try the Mozzarella and Tomatoes! The Mozz is super fresh and those Caprese lovers out there will keep coming back for more.
Another go-to is the Butcher’s Block – An assortment of artisan meats and cheeses served with tuscan beans, olives, asparagus, nuts and crostini. And I’m a sucker for olives. WOW! This plate has an amazing quality of meats and cheeses, with tons of extras, you can’t go wrong here!
You can dine on the apps alone as they are good sized portions and the menu has a bunch of options.
Lots of great items on the menu, local ingredients and a cool ambiance, makes this place a great happy hour spot, great place for a first date, or a laid back hang out with friends. It isn’t just the food that makes you want to come back again.

Speaking of first dates, Rebecca and I met here 7 years ago, on our first date! It was obviously memorable and a piece of ‘our’ history. We got married and came by the day after our wedding to reminisce on what an amazing experience we had here.
We were talking to our server Madeline, and mentioned our story of how Rebecca and I met here 7 years ago! She loved our story and comped our meal because she is awesome. We weren’t expecting that!
Who does that!!!! WOW!
We will be back every year on our anniversary to thank them, and enjoy an amazing experience.
You guys ROCK!
