Mother’s Bistro Portland
Looking for Mom’s cooking? Look no further if you are in Portland, Oregon- as I found it! This is in my old stomping ground, I graduated from Western Culinary Institute right down the street from Mother’s Bistro.
I am not big on breakfast. I know, I know: that’s weird, so when I mention a breakfast spot or recipe you know it must be awesome. Located in downtown Portland, this is a place that you can take the whole family to. Easy to get to, and when you are there you will see why I gave it a 4.5 for ambiance. With the cozy atmosphere and chandeliers all over the ceiling, Mother’s also has a bar and lounge for those special nights.
Mother’s Bistro Portland – They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner so there are options and times for the entire family. But like I said before, when I mention breakfast you must try the BREAKFAST. Every time I am in Portland this is a place I make room on the calendar for!
Mother’s Bistro Portland – One of the favorites to try (coming from Rebecca, my girlfriend/breakfast food junkie) is the Grilled Portobello Mushroom Scramble: portobellos marinated in garlic, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar, scrambled with eggs, fresh sauteed spinach, and Asiago cheese. WHAT!!
Not so fast! We haven’t gotten to my favorite dish yet…..

I told you I’m not big on breakfast, but I love homemade country sausage gravy, oh yeah! Try the Biscuit Breakfast homemade buttermilk biscuits, topped with country sausage gravy, served with two eggs any style… That’s it. I can’t make this sound any better than it already is.
