Traveling the Middle East a few times a year, I get cold feet anytime someone mentions a Good Lebanese Restaurant. Most of the time they are just NOT GOOD, especially when you get the real deal when I travel. ATTENTION Mazaar is not one of those restaurants, Mazaar is one of the best Lebanese Restaurants not located in the Middle East!
Mazaar Restaurant was recommended by our hotel (Best Western Riverside) and I am glad I didn’t get cold feet this time….well, I did but that’s because it was freezing out! (I live in Arizona now so anywhere is cold)!
A menu loaded with all the Lebanese food I have loved over the years, Hummus, Kebab, Fattoush Salad and more. The Menu is out of this world!
Located on Erie Street and just a couple blocks from our hotel makes this a great spot.
The inside is Amazing! Large booths, tables and fun quaint seating for 2! I got to sit at the two top and the chairs swivel, super fun…
Intimate with enough space even on those busy weekend Windsor nights. With Live Music Thursday – Friday – Saturday makes this a great night out for the whole body.
Mazaar Restaurant has the service part down as well. We didn’t even get in the door before being greeted with a warm smile and ‘how are you’ (That Middle East hospitality through and through).
Server: Super friendly and was on top of our table the minute we sat down. Ordered our drinks and spent time explaining a few items and NOT rushing us to eat and leave. (I was spinning in my chair, and someone thought I needed something, and was right over asking. I had to admit I was having too much fun in the chair and was all good). That is great service.
Management: One of the managers saw us taking a photo and walked over and asked if he could take our photo. That was something only managers with a focus on their customers would do. The other manager was quick to come over when we where halfway done to make sure everything was good. Yes, that is how it’s done.
Lebanese Food at its Best. I went for the DUO BBQ PLATTER (serves two guests) and I highly recommend it.
You start with Hummus, Fresh Pita Bread and a Fattoush Salad. (Make sure you get it with Feta Cheese, so worth it).
The Hummus is amazing, and with that fresh Pita takes this to another level. Like I said some of the Best Hummus I have had outside the Middle East, even my own!
The Fattoush Salad really hit the spot with fresh greens, pita chips and make sure you add Feta Cheese (sounds like a broken record, but a must).
If that wasn’t enough, and trust me that could have been dinner, they serve the meal, Tenderloin Shish Kabob and Shish Tawook served with Biryani rice. Amazing flavor with the Tenderloin and Tawook and the Garlic Sauce they serve with it is out of this world!
