Nevada Restaurant Review Las Vegas

Giada at The Cromwell

Giada at The CromwellGiada chefs hard at work.

So you’re walking the Vegas strip and you want to have lunch at one of the top restaurants. Well, there’s a lot to choose from. That’s what makes Vegas VEGAS.

Giada is one of those restaurants you want to eat at. Located on the strip at the Cromwell, Giada offers a unique dining experience for anyone! Whether you’re eating at the bar, lounge, or outdoor patio, you’re sure to have a good time. The open dining area has retractable windows and the terrace overlooks the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel, giving patrons of Giada an unforgettable view of Las Vegas.

If you’re looking for an appetizer or a light snack, go for the cheese! The Burrata with balsamic salt is one of a kind! You can really see that Giada has put her heart into this restaurant and it shows in the food.

One of the must-haves from the menu at Giada is the Orzo Meatball dish. This isn’t just any meatball! Make sure to try them, and you can thank me later.

If you like lobster, take advice from me and try the Lobster Roll. I’ve eaten the best lobster out of Boston, MA but Giada is a super close second, or maybe even a tie!  She takes a different spin on the traditional Lobster Roll, but you will not be disappointed by this buttery crustacean paradise.

The Prosciutto Di Parma is some of the best I’ve ever had. Not just on the strip, in the WORLD.

As far as the appetizers go, the portions are generous and you could dine on them alone if you wanted to! The menu is packed with options to choose from as well. If you eat at the bar you can watch the chefs go to work, or you can eat in the dining room for that fine dining feel, even at lunch. Giada at The Cromwell is a fun place to take a break from the action of the Strip and enjoy a good ambiance and great food. On a side note, Giada’s photos are all over the restaurant and that’s just another WIN in my book.

As you will see with my FAST review, the only thing lacking at Giada is the host service and management. We walked in for an early lunch and were faced with a waiting line. I spied an empty table near the bar and asked if we could sit there, but the hostess said that the section was not open for seating. After 25 minutes of waiting, I politely reminded the hostess that we had yet to be seated, to which she replied, “Oh, you’re next?” Normally I wouldn’t write about service like this but the incident really stood out to me. Maybe it was the “We Don’t Care If You Eat Here” feeling that came along with it.

The only saving grace (aside from the food) was our server, Erin. I don’t have her last name but if any managers at Giada read this, she needs to be in management! She is just that good. From her knowledge of the menu to her advice on dishes that our palates would enjoy, an employee like Erin is an invaluable asset to any restaurant, and Giada is lucky to have her on the team!

Final word? Elegant ambiance, high quality bar, and Erin is the best. This FAST Review speaks for itself!
