Dick’s Hideaway Phoenix Restaurant Review
Known for some of the best New Mexican cuisine in the Valley, you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. This is a favorite spot for locals or guys like me looking for a fun and unique place to take friends and enjoy happy hour or for an evening out.
When entering Dick’s Hideaway, you know your in for a treat when you have to look for the door to get in. You must sit at the bar as it is an exhibition kitchen and you can watch the Chefs prepare the food you order, SUPER FUN! With the specials and Happy Hour written on the walls and of course the “No Kardashians Allowed” sign, this place makes for a great hangout spot. Go ahead and try the bathrooms, it’s a fun experience all together just getting to them!

If you’re going for some drinks and appetizers, make sure you try the Roasted Garlic Plate. This is one of my All Time Favorite appetizers.
Another menu item that will rouse your taste buds is the Spicy Chicken Tostadas, make sure you order as side of the New Mexican Queso to dip the tostadas into. I know. Thank me later.

You can dine on the apps alone as they are good sized portions and the menu has a bunch of options.
But you need to try one of my favorite entrees, the Carne Adovada. Just try it and you will know exactly why I mentioned it. Here is what you get: smoked pork roast simmered in red chile, rice, beans, cheese & a flour tortilla. Okay, sounds like you have seen this before right? Not so fast- just look at this photo! Is your mouth watering yet?
You can also turn the appetizers into an entree, go ahead and get the Carne Sliders. WOW!

Did I tell you Dick’s Hideaway had me at GARLIC?! From the fresh ingredients, the smell of wood smoking, the meats, and the chefs putting all of the menu creations on piping hot plates, this is a hot spot for generous portions and inventive entrees.

Feeling like breakfast? Dick’s offers Brunch daily until 4 PM. Eggs Benedict Jalapeno or Rellenos & Eggs are some of the best in Arizona.
Get there early and make sure to sit at the bar; not only is it fun, but Botanas are Happy Hour priced at the bar only. They have additional seating in the bar area and tables in the back.
Dick’s Hideaway – Great ambiance, great bar, and the staff is awesome, friendly and fast. The food- well, the F.A.S.T. Review speaks for itself!
