Al’s Italian Beef Chicago
Al’s Italian Beef Chicago
#1 Italian Beef and yes, I agree!
This Italian beef restaurant dates back to 1938 when Al Ferrari and his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Chris Pacelli, Sr., developed the original idea and recipe for the original Italian beef sandwich.
There are many food choices in Chicago and this is a must for anyone who wants to taste a piece of history. If you have had Italian Beef- great! But if you have had Italian Beef in Chicago then you know what I’m talking about.

Al’s Italian Beef Chicago
There are many ways to get the Italian Beef (Little Al, Regular Al or Big Al and of course the Gravy – Oh, the Gravy! [Regular, Wet, Dipped or Dry]).
Can’t decide? Here is what you should order: Big Al, Wet, with hot peppers. Yep, it’s that easy and that good! Don’t forget the Nacho Fries (a side that you will want to order over and over again).
Not feeling like an Italian Beef sandwich?
No worries as Al’s has a big menu with Sausage, Hot Dogs, Polish Dogs, Tamales, Chili, Burgers, Wraps Salads, Chicken Sandwiches, and of course, their Fresh Cut Fries. Nacho Fries are a must… you can thank me later.
Friendly and fast and the food…. well, the F.A.S.T. Review speaks for itself!
