This week I go to Italy with On the Road Eats and EAT my way through Italy!! Al Calice Trattoria, is the spot you go to in Venice.  Great Ambiance, buzzing with locals, and the Seafood and Pasta is out of this world.

Located ocated in the heart of Venice and is not your typical tourist trap. There are only a few places I can truly say they have the BEST seafood and this could be the BEST.

There are many good places in Venice to eat, but when you can find the place where the locals go and eat, that is where I want to eat.

When you first walk in you are greeted by some of the friendliest on the planet. As a restraunteur, and someone who loves to eat out, this goes a LONG LONG way! Smiles, laughter and we aren’t even sitting down yet…Love this place!

The menu is great with Lobster, Steak, House made Pasta, Daily Specials, and oh SUPER FRESH SEAFOOD! Did I mention the seafood yet?

Yes we get it Greg Fresh Seafood…OH YEAH! You Must and I mean Must try the Spaghetti alle Vongole. Pasta so fresh you won’t believe pasta could taste this way. Clams so fresh they are still opening up when served! As a chef I have had great Spaghetti alle Vongole all over the world, but I am going to give Al Calice the BEST IN THE WORLD!

When in Venice and looking for a place to eat for lunch, stop by and give the Al Calice Trattoria a try. It will only maker your Venice trip that much better!

Ambiance, Food, Service (Best Service in Italy) are all top notch and a must  visit when you are in Venice.
